New Hair Colour!

Hey…

I Dyed my hair…
Just bought a drugstore hair dye and got Amelia to apply it on for me…

money saving* yeah!
So this is the hair dye I bought…

Garnier Nutrisse No.9 Light Blonde

Oh don’t get shocked…I know, I know, it’s blonde…LIGHT BLONDE…haha
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want my hair to be blonde, not that I can’t pull it off it’s just that I go for more wearable colours…

light brown maybe? Something like that =) HEHE
Anyway, I suppose the hair dyes manufactured here are made to suit western hair types, so it won’t be as effective on asian hair…especially when you have natural black or dark hair…Mine is dark brown…so yeah…Amelia tried dying her hair Iced Chocolate using L’oreal Crème Gloss before but it didn’t work, her hair colour stayed the same…

So blonde hair dye’s suppose to react with my hair colour and turn it into light brown…

I guess…

So I tried it and it actually came out great…loving my new hair colour, my hair’s evenly coloured and the colour’s lighter than before…

Aww I’m so happy today…After graduating from TFC we haven’t really met up much…It’s not that easy anymore since we’re all doing different courses.

Kevin’s even on to flying school…I really miss the good old days.

We spent almost every break together, gossiping, talking in different languages, teaching me tagalog and much more in our warm rendezvous — science space.

TFC stands for “Tertiary Foundation Course” in case you were wondering…

Met Rachel’s brother for the first time too =) Now Four POONs are rocking Auckland…Jasmine Poon, Amelia Poon, Rachel Poon and Ian Poon…HAHA…

gotta plan our Poon Lunch soon, Amelia hasn’t met Ian yet…

We had Japanese food for lunch at Daikoku, a restaurant we used to go quite often too...Coffee at Starbucks after lunch, surprise surprise coffee addict Jasmine didn’t feel like having coffee…I’m actually trying to reduce coffee intake, mummy’s been nagging a lot…

Plus it really isn’t good for health…

I drink a lot more water now, so applause for me…hehe =P

Outing with Amelia and Mi Yoen…
Mi Yoen’s such a lovely korean girl…She’s amelia’s classmate…
We went to St.Lukes shopping mall…
Well at first it was just an outing for both of them cuz my sister wanted to watch Shrek Forever After...The problem is I hate Shrek…watched the first Shrek movie and I was disgusted so badly I didn’t even feel like watching the rest…no offence they do have a interesting “anti fairytale” thing going on but it just makes me uncomfortable…
But…But…It’s a Sunday and I didn’t want to stay at home so I tagged along …LOL

Who cares I’ll give Shrek Forever After a try…
Okay so after the movie I still HATE Shrek….HAHAHA =P
The storyline was good though…

I like how they came up with Rumpelstiltskin and Fiona as Xena the warrior princess or something…Puss in boots looks soo cute with the big belly too XD
Oh yeah, I would love to have a custom made pipe that the piper fella had in the movie too…
Then I could set it to exam mode or coursework mode…so my pen will automatically do my work and all I have to do is blow the flute…Dream on Jas* LOL

A day in city…
Weather wasn’t nice though, was bit colder than I thought so macha and I were freezing~~
It was so funny we kept asking each other for hugs,

even felt like buying jackets and wear them on spot…
Eventually we just went for sizzling hot dinner to heat ourselves up!

I’m not a perfect person. I do not have the best looks, the best body, the best personality, etc. but I do have self esteem, dignity and feelings. This post is not about me. It’s about every individual on this planet. To all those people out there, I just want to let you guys know that no one is perfect, even your very own self. I’m not saying that you do not have the rights to judge, it’s your mouth and your fingers, you can say whatever you like; type whatever you want. All I want to ask is “Do you benefit from it? Do you feel any better saying that?” I’m not even trying to stop you/you guys, in fact I don’t even think I’ll be able to, but if you get to read this, I hope you think again before doing the same thing. Try to go beneath the flaws and see the good side of things. Everybody’s existence has a certain reason, it might not involve you, but that doesn’t mean you can crush their confidence. There’re always ups and downs. Nobody wants to be criticized or beaten down when they’re already in a bad position so please brush up your manners and be a better person inside out.

For those who tried to crush mine, congratulations, you wobbled it a bit. I’m not down yet so don’t get too happy too soon. However I do believe you guys are here to make me stronger so I’ll keep those tears in and reply you with a big THANK YOU and a wide SMILE =)

Yeah…So I’m really lazy and I procrastinate all the time…Even my sister asks me why don’t I seem nervous ? Why am I not studying…well I am nervous for sure, although it doesn’t show…It’s just a bad habit I need to get rid of….urghh!

Amelia went to the Friday evening dance classes and she made me accompany her…

I know I had to study n blablabla but I’m a good sister so I accompanied her to the city…

I ended up studying in starbucks whilst waiting for her…

I expect comments saying i'm pale, i look dead, etc.

Okay, so it was the first day of exams…

I had a strange and very awkward feeling raging in me…

I don’t know why maybe it was my first paper of the year and it’s on biochem….like what???!!! I’m not even into those two subjects and what’s biochem got to do with engineering??!!

It’s such a bust that we need to do general engineering for stage1…

I gotta say this exam period has slaughtered me quite badly…

lack of sleep, massive acne breakouts, eye bags, dark eye circles, etc.

In other words very bad skin condition…

Hope this comes to an end once exams are over...

queens birthday weekend

Weather was bad…

raining and ferocious wind…unlike sunny Saturday…
My exams are starting soon so I don’t have much time to shop around with Amelia for her prom dress… So we went to St.Lukes Westfield Shopping mall today…

She saw the perfect dress few days ago but the store didn’t have the right size…

Thank god she found the same dress in the right size today…

So she bought it…It’s a simple dress…She chose it cuz she wanted something that could be formal and casual by wearing a jacket over it or something…I agree cuz I have these formal dresses that I don’t get to wear much and I think it’s kinda sad…

Oh well we thought we’d only get the dress but since it took me ages to get a parking we shopped longer…The more you see the more you want…I’m such a girly girl…I love to shop…

Ended up buying a few perfumes =)

I was on my way home and received a text from macha…
She felt like drinking bubble tea…
Too bad I already boarded the train so i couldn’t takeaway nice bubble tea from city…
Then I remembered that there’s this place called Momo tea that sells bubble tea too cuz mummy’s friend brought us there once…
So Amelia and I went there after dinner…

the funny thing was we don’t remember the way to that place…

weren’t familiar with the area too cuz it’s not near our house…

so we kept making wrong turns…

but at last we made it to Momo Tea…

Both of us are so ‘geng’ ! haha

It’s inedible! We’re not going back!!!

Truss Testing

Yay!! After all the hard work designing, analyzing and constructing our truss,

it’s finally time to crush it…
I’m a bit sad to see our baby spilt into pieces but it was kinda exciting!
The 1st group set the bar real high…
their truss held up to 706N load…
Everyone was like “whoa…whoa…whoaaa…”

when they put on 96N loads one by one…
Our truss held 328N…
which wasn’t that bad cuz our prediction was 400N…
Conclusion:

cross bracing sticks are vital

cuz every truss’s cross bracing members broke 1st…
And we thought it didn’t really matter…
I’ll miss working with my group members…

First of all we went yamcha…

We thought we’d just window shop, but then we saw this 2in1 hair straightener and curling thong that we wanted to try before…

It took us sooo long to decide but at last we bought it…haha
It looks awkward but it is pretty good...

Actually I already have a curling thong and a straightening iron

I just thought it would be cute to have both functions in one tool…

plus it’ll be convenient for travelling too =)

So we continued building our truss.
Start drilling holes to fit the bolts in…

so went for grocery shopping…
I should’ve known the veges were bad…

when I was washing them….

I saw this green caterpillar !

Eewwwww, I really hate those wriggly wrinkly creepy stuff…
I’m not that scared of spiders, crickets, grasshoppers, etc.

but worms and caterpillars really freak me out…

I thought the computers might be all occupied since there was a test...

but i managed to find a computer in the library...

so i brought my heavy laptop to uni for nothing...lol

Studied the past year questions and workbook examples...

the questions that came out in the test were totally different...

well fingers crossed...hope i didn't do too bad =)

So Macha(amelia's nickname) and I went for dim sum...

We went to our favourite dimsum spot in Botany and Amelia was the driver...haha

I like the dim sum here because they're yummy and big ...

Another thing I like about having dimsum here is that you don't have to go like 7 in the morning and you'll get all the nice food at noon =P

Amelia wanted to book her makeover for prom at MAC...

So we went into the shop and the girl opened her book..

we were like whoaaa...the book was filled with bookings...

wow I guess prom is really a big thing here huh~

Our next stop was Newmarket...Shopping heaven as well =P

We tried out the MAC store there and amelia managed to get her makeover booked...

The MAC makeup artists looked so pretty,

I wonder if I could work there as a part-time makeup consultant or whatever...

that would be nice =)

Truss Project

The weather was terrible and

I was so glad I had an umbrella with me=)

The rain and dull sky made me so moody.

I wonder how I survived last year without an umbrella..LOL

So I went to mathematical modelling tutorial and mechanics revision lecture...

nothing special, as boring as usual, haha...

After that I met up with truss project group members to work on our project..

Well our main mission of the day was to get all measurements finalized

and chop our hot dog sticks...

I finally found something fun about this project -- the construction part =)

I love craftwork so i volunteered to saw the wood...

my group members were happy cuz i'm doing all the 'guy's work', haha....

Freezing cold night

I was so tired when I got home

I dozed off on the couch beside the heater...

hmmm... comfy ~

Yeah it's me...after 4months i'm blogging again =)
I'm so sorry i've been such a lazy bum not updating my blog...

Well since i hvn't been blogging for some time,

i'll share more stuff with you guys in this post =)

As most of my friends know i've been really busy with studies this year...

i'm really fed up with the workload~
I have a test coming up on Dynamics =(

Anyway i gotta stop complaining...

It was freeeeeeeezzinggg~ this morning

and I had to rush uphill so i wouldn't be late for lecture...

gasping and breathing in ice-cold-air..ewww

but Yay! My last Biochem tutorial for the day was cancelled so i was able to pick my sis up after she finished school. Was raining cats and dogs so i sent her friend back too...then we rushed home so amelia could email her files to apply for some study camp..she's very hardworking, if only i could do so...

We went to a shopping mall nearby, it's thursday so they close late...that mall's like our second home, we go there like twice every week...haha...
that's why we didn't do any shopping, just chilled and had great coffee in esquires...

It was so sad cuz I had to say bye to ToongToong since he's going back to kl for his exams....
I dun want him to leave~~~

but sigh...nth could be done...

How I wish time could stop for a while so I could catch up with my dear frens more....
Last night might be the last time i'm seeing toong this year...

We had a great night though,

talking about what we're up to, what we did, and how we've changed...

I can tell that we're all grown up now and we have our own plans in the future...

Hope we all get what we want....

HAHA....
I feel so sorry cuz i've neglected my blog for quite some time. Lol...I can't believe this is only my 2nd post...Well, I'm not quite used to this..BUT 2010~~~a New start...sooooo, I'll TRY to force myself to use time wisely and avoid procrastination....so hopefully my blog will be more interesting...

Fyi, I should've posted posts abt my taiwan trip , friends outings n genting trips etc. I guess I'll post some photos and brief description soon...i mean SOON...haha...

Anyway, this post is all about 2010!!! It's a new YEAR ; It's a new DAY and I'm feeling GOOD~~ =) This year, I chose to stay at home and share this special day with my lovely FAMILY...They're the most important people in my life. Since I have to study abroad now, I'll be seeing them a lot lesser...sigh...so I should appreciate the time that we can spend together...

This year Daddy suggested that we do something special -- have homecooked dinner instead of dining out...Daddy said he was gonna be the Chef of the night..HAHA ....LAzy Daddy... The BEST cook ever (MUMMY) ended up cooking our sumptuous dinner....I'm not exagerating, she really is a good cook....

I can't believe I'm actually writing my 1st post cuz this took me like ages...pheww~ Okay, that's because I procrastinate much...YEAPPP! that's me! Okay back to the main point...What really gave me the urge to create this blog was my trip back to Malaysia.
